For pride, and for rewards.
This is very bad.

Introduction
It is necessary to examine all human activities in the light of the Truth, and by Spiritual Science as directed by the Holy Spirit. Evidences show general moral decadence and spiritual retrogression (backwardness) of humanity. The earlier these are corrected, the better for all mankind.
Condolence visits are very common in every society and people suppose to do it the right way. However, many do so foolishly.
The Wrong Things People Do During Condolences
Take note of the following:
- Many go on condolence visit for the sake of rewards and favours, because they want to obtain one thing or the other in return. This is very bad.
- They give condolence gifts only to those people that would give back to them. As such, many loose their blessings from God.
- Many condolence visitors are hypocrites. In actual fact, they do not want to attend. But then, they attend for the sake of attendance. Actions that are not based on love, sympathy or kindness are meaningless and useless.
- Many go because of the public honour and praises they receive from others at the ceremonies.
- Almost every family keep records of condolence visits and the gifts received. Generally, families do this in order to return favours and to track those who did not attend. This is very bad. Families that do these things loose their blessings from God.
- Many attend funeral in order to revenge, in order:
- Not to eat because the person visited did not eat at visitor’s place.
- Not to drink because the person visited did not drink at visitor’s place.
li
Those who do those things exclude themselves from the kingdom of heaven.
- Out of spiritual blindness, religious leaders make people enter rooms in which there are corpses. They end up destroying the spiritual growth and talents of the people. The reason is that a corpse attacks a lot of evil spirits, demons, mermaids, ghosts, witches and black energies. These evil things come in the midst of humanity only to steal, kill and destroy. Only very few should enter the room in which there is corpse.
- Some would even touch the corpse and use the same hand to cook food for the condolence visitors. This is very bad. It is the same as drinking the water used in washing the corpse.
- Due to lack of self-discipline, many people now eat in the presence of a corpse. A dead body is spiritually so bad that human beings should not even open their mouth in the presence of a corpse, except where it is absolutely necessary,
14 'This is the law when a man dies in a tent: All who come into the tent and all who are in the tent shall be unclean seven days; 15 and every open vessel, which has no cover fastened on it, is unclean. 16 Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain by a sword or who has died, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.” Numbers 19:14-16
- The worst is that reverend fathers serve people holy communion during burial ceremonies. This is an abomination.
- The best thing is to first bury the corpse, which event dose not need long procession or glamorous occasions for the display of wealth and connections. A prayer, with a few songs, is enough.
- After the burial, the funeral ceremony can take place, at least seven (7) days after. Then people can eat and drink.
- But then, contact with the grave should be avoided or at least minimized.
- Generally, and most often, spiritual affects, whether good or bad are not seen with the spiritual eyes, but with the third eye, on the forehead. And their physical manifestations may not be immediate.
- Even those digging grave, should not be eating and drinking while doing so. It is really surprising and disappointing that in terms of holiness, most of the religious leaders are not only spiritually blind, but in addition encouraging and spreading demonic poisons in the midst of humanity.
- Before cooking food, spray holy water within the compound.
- Cooking food, during funeral ceremony, should be done with holy water, blood of Jesus or consuming fire.
- After the cooking, the ministers or people should pray over the food before eating.
- It is important to note that funeral ceremonies is becoming a burden to many families. Today, many poor families sell their lands, properties or go to borrow money in order to give their dead ones a befitting ceremony. All is done as a sign of affluence, just to impress the public. This practice is very bad, indeed. A funeral should not be a drain pipe for wasting money and resources that should be invested in training children left behind by their dead parents or sponsors.
20. It is indeed quite disappointing that many religious leaders capitalize on (use) funeral as a means of extorting money from people, even from poor and wretched families. By so doing, they turn what suppose to be charity into a burden and bondage. Such religious leaders have cases to answer before the Almighty, if they refuse to repent from their evil ways.
Why put so much burden on person who is mourning?
Why should the society put so much stress on families
when the families need peace, ease and freedom?
- Also, the idea of always sowing a new dress for every funeral is a mark of worldliness and ignorance. It is unnecessary and irrelevant.
- The public should be made to understand that all these funeral activities and unnecessary display of wealth do not in any way help a person enter the kingdom of heaven.
- Posters are left on display for too long. The best is to remove the posters and banners, after ten (10) days after the funeral.
